Lightweight and sturdy. I use this French press with ground coffee and it produces decent coffee. Separating the "press" tube from the main body is tricky. I figured out you have to either unscrew the lid, or open the lid pouring spout cap, so there is no vacuum inside creating suction on the "press" tube when you try to separate the two parts. Put a couple of scoops of your favourite coffee and boiling water into the main compartment, and place the "press" tube filter a couple of inches below the water line, ensuring all the coffee grounds is submerged in water. I usually give it around 5 minutes to infuse and I open the pouring spout cap before plunging the press. This is to allow the air inside to be released as the plunger is pressed down. The seals are pretty air tight, so without opening the spout cap you are fighting the air pressure inside, and causing unnecessary wear and tear on the rubber seals. I have had zero leakage from this press, and have found it ideal for coffee on-the-go. A real bargain, as I paid $6.15 for the red coffee press. Fill the coffee press with coffee and hot water before you step out of your house for work in the morning. The press sits nicely in your car's cup holder, and your coffee can brew on your drive to work, ready to pour when you arrive at your workplace.I am giving this product 5 stars because of it's price ratio to convenient design and portability. Easy to use (not quite as easy as a single cup traditional cafetiere) when it comes to dismantling, but it offers the advantage of having no glass beaker to break and is leak / spill proof. Ideal for hikers, camping, and using at work. How does this work with K-cups? I don't see how it does and the instructions seem to say to use ground coffee. I've tried two different K-cup brands with slightly different cups and neither will fit and I don't even see how it would work if it DID fit.UPDATE: I tried inserting a K-Cup and using the pointed end below the screen to puncture it and slide it down into the hot water. It doesn't work. I need advice or a refund ASAP.It needs too much water to work. The espresso just turns out like wet dirtIt is a portable coffee press, not an espresso maker. I bought this with the intention of bringing it with me on a trip to Asia. I received it just in time before leaving but decided to leave it behind and return to seller when I get back 3 weeks after. I wanted to return it right away but I had no more time so hopefully the seller will still accept it (it's unused).I liked the design, but the "plasticky" material used seems inadequate to hold hot liquid - there is no thermal protection around the mug either, basically just thin plastic. This is the main reason why I'm returning it when I get back (still in Asia for another week or so).El material es aceptable, la idea es genial y muy práctica además contiene empaques desde la parte de abajo para evitar el paso de los residuos de café, relación compra producto muy buenaThis was requested as a Christmas present and the person I gave it to is still using it 7 months laterLove the versility. It does not make an espresso... just a regular coffee.
