These dough blade is a life saver. I got cuisinart DLC 8SBCY 11 cup food processor from Macy’s. The processor didn’t come with separate dough blade and it was not easy to make dough with the steel blade as it was very risky to clean the sticky dough from the blade. But this attachment was a life saver as now I am able to use it almost every day for my dough.Thank you Amazon for carrying this product as I couldn’t find it any where. I am going to buy the spare in case if I need another and couldn’t find later.First off I own a Cuisinart DLC-8SBCY Pro Custom 11 and this hook fit it perfectly. After installing the hook I was able to make pizza dough and other dough recipes. This hook works perfectly over the original blade because it actually kneads the dough. Also its not sharp like the original blade. I recommend this dough hook for anyone looking to make dough recipes in their food processor. This item is NOT a Cuisinart Stainless Steel Chopping Blade as the title states. It is a Cuisinart DLC-869TX-1 Dough Blade. I contacted Amazon, just asking them to fix the incorrect listing. They said that I had to complain to "Small Appliance" - the 3rd party seller of the item. It is a bad listing on Amazon's web site, for goodness sakes. Why don't they take responsibility and contact the seller?Anyway, if you are looking for a Dough Blade, this works just fine. If you are looking for the Stainless Steel Chopping Blade, search for part # DLC-861TX on Amazon. That will find the actual stainless steel chopping blade for the Cuisinart food processors listed on this page.I have had a Cuisenart Pro for many years. I use the dough blade frequently in making bread doughs and pizza doughs. My kids incorrectly put away the dough blade - and the next day it was a puppy chew toy.Good news, the puppy is fine; the children have been schooled on the correct way to put away these items.I am so happy I could shoot conveniently to Amazon to get this replacement piece without having to go to directly to the manufacturer.Just a warning: This blade (Part number FP-749TX) does not fit the DLC-8S or the DLC-8SBC (brushed chrome), possibly others. What I assume is the model number of the processor it belongs with is printed on the blade, DLC-10, which is a different model processor. I ordered one, wrong size, Amazon shipped a replacement, same issue... does not fit the larger shaft with key on the DLC-8s. I now have two blades I need to return. From the Cuisinart web site: The blade that they call for the DLC-8 series is a DLC-869TX-1. I'm going to order that one and see what I get.Works just like the original blade. Smooth operation and does a great job. This little blade works wonders for breads & general mixing, recommend. It is a good sturdy blade that slipped right into my food processor. But, soon after purchasing it I found out that the recommendation now is to use the regular steel blade in the processor whose shearing action leads to better gluten development. It is felt that these short bladed dough blades have too much of a tendency to push the dough to the sides of the work bowl so that it doesn't get kneaded properly.
