We have gone through a number of ice cream scoops that have all failed one way or another when it came to digging through hard ice cream. This scoop is absolutely wonderful. Easy to hold and lets you power through hard ice cream well. It's scoop angle in relation to the handle really supports this ability where it causes some others to bend. This one is sturdy and strong. Skimming through regular hardness ice cream does produce nice spheres just like the page says. Easy to pop in the dishwasher or hand wash. We've done both without any issues. Some other scoops collect water through seams in the dishwasher but this one doesn't at all. It's great. I highly recommend this ice cream scoop.Feels a little funny to review a scoop but I looked around a LOT to buy a good one and one that would last. This is a GREAT product. Super sturdy. Probably the best scoop I’ve ever owned. The metal is thick. So far the plastic handle is durable and it’s survived the dishwasher a bunch of times. Very pleased with how it worksI tried to scoop. My husband, who is ambidextrous, tried scooping with each hand. Impossible! Very disappointed as it looks good and feels good. Bought a fairly similar looking one, but with an angled corner, from a large chain grocery store line and it worked perfectly.
