Making cones takes practice, my first few were garbage but thats not a machine issue it's a practice and tinkering issue. It makes great waffles you just need to find a recipe that works and practice rolling. One thing that these waffle cone makers should come with though are heat gloves. Ladies (or guys) if you have a curling iron for your hair and have one of those heat resistant gloves so you can curl your hair without burning your hand use this glove to hold your cone wrapped around the conical mold, works so well! This waffle cone maker does have some hot spots so you will have to move the waffle around occasionally or else you will have uneven browning. It is a well constructed piece of equipment, and I am very happy with it. I did a little extra "seasoning" (that same thing you do to cast iron cooking equipment) cycle before my first batch and NOTHING stuck to the iron, so that is good. I use Krusteaz waffle cone mix, at 200 degrees Celsius for 3 1/2 minutes. The first few cones all turned out wildly different colors, and I found out that you should wait till the warming indicator light goes off between cones. After you remove the cone, closing the iron helps it reheat faster.I used this to make Vietnamese style waffles. It comes out good, thin and crunchy. Sometimes, one waffle takes longer time to get golden than the others and may get uneven color. I wish the timer is designed with pointer for easy to adjust and read.Purchased for my ice cream business. We wanted the sweet smell of freshly made waffle cones as people walked by. So far, I think this will do the trick! We've only done training with it, but it seems to work well and is easy to use.Compre dos maquinas y me solucionaron Inmediatamente el inconveniente presentado Muchas gracias ALD kitchen recomendadoEasy to use, easy to clean and works like it’s supposed toJust what I was looking for. Works great.I do not eat carbs but miss chips and crackers. I use this to make crackers with almond flour tortillas (frozen). I cut the tortilla in 8ths, cook at the highest level for a minute, spray with avacado oil and sprinkle with garlic salt. I cook up the entire bag of tortillas and have large bag of delicious crackers for dips. YUMM!
