The machine does what it is supposed to do and the ice is pretty clear. One thing I didn’t care for was the protective plastic covering the stainless steel. It’s very hard to remove because they put the unit together and the plastic wrap goes completely into the seams and under the trim. The door does not open completely and you have to bend down to scoop the ice. It’s pretty quiet. I’m going to get a stand for it because it’s pretty short. If you get a stand you need one that can handle the 75lbs for the unit and also the weight of the ice. Over all I would recommend this ice maker. Oh, them tiny user guide is terrible and doesn’t tell everything about the controls and display. There is a button on the control panel that says HOT, I thought it would start melting the ice to clean it but the only thing I found it does is turn the blue light off.Awesome, works greatcould use a little more storage capacityFilter leaks and goes in standby mode!The first time I try to use it the water would not feed into the system and I had to try to get it to feed for 30 minutes. The second time I tried to use it was at the hurricane in Florida and it never would make ice. The water would not feed through the system. Hoping to get my money back even though the return window has closed but I’ve only tried to use it twice.It worked good when we got it, we love it, but it stop working 12 days after we got it, We double checked the installation, water flow, unplugged it and put it back on, we tried everything it still not working, we had to paid $140.8 by ourselves to mail it back for the return. It feel very bad to spent $140 for having it 12 days.This machine produces nicely once you figure out the controls. If you try to increase the thickness all the way the machine can get stuck and the instructions are not helpful. Overall it works well and is a good value for the price. Also be aware that it comes wrapped in a protective film that is very difficult to remove if you want the stainless steel exposed.I was so excited about having a freestanding ice maker. When it came in, I was immediately discouraged by the wrapping. It was put together with the wrapping on the pieces, so it was impossible to get the wrapping off and it look nice. The buttons are weird too. They don’t click or push in and feel very cheap. We hooked it up and it made ice like a champ for about two weeks and then it stopped one day. We double checked the installation, water flow, turned it off and back on. We tried everything. I think it’s just poorly made.I like the size, the relative quiet of the unit, the ability to use a water jugs. These are all great features. What I don't like is that where the ice gathers is not cold enough and the ice continually melts. This melted ice (water) goes to a drain and must be hooked up to drainage in your facility or else collected and constantly emptied. A better design would have just circulated this water back into the freezing process to make more ice. It is a waste,The only thing I didn’t like was the huge dent on the front of the machine when I finally took it out of the box. I ended up putting it together and trying it and the dent didn’t seem to affect how it made ice so rather than go through the hassle of returning such a large item I just kept it. Again machine works great just cosmetically doesn’t look good!Didn’t work from day 1 . Still waiting on response from Amazon
