I LOVE this cooler!! It is the PERFECT option for a renter who doesn’t even have the option in their apartment for a water connection to their fridge. (Especially in a place like LA). I use the water cooler to make ice and then I transfer the ice to my fridge’s ice maker compartment in the freezer. I am then able to use my fridge to retrieve ice from the door.Pros:-good amount of ice made at a time (9 pieces)-ice is actually pretty solid. In other words, it won’t melt on you two seconds after putting in a drink-the machine isn’t loud at all. The only sound you really hear is when the machine is making ice and the ice “drops” into the storage area below, but it is by NO means a distraction of any kind.Cons:- I don’t mind having to press the button to initiate the ice-making option (because I wouldn’t want the machine continuously making ice if I already have enough made and in my freezer), but to have to press a button so that either the very cold or hot water dispenses isn’t ideal. If you are thirsty for a cold drink of water, you want it right then. You don’t want to have to press a button and wait minutes later for the water to be chilled. Previous water cooler I’ve owned in the past, the water was hot or cold instantly. There was no waiting. You simply went to the dispenser, made your choice, and got it.
