I have used this literally every single day for over three years, and I have replaced every other coffee making method I've used in the past. I absolutely love this thing. I even take it for travel and camping, since its so small.I have a video on a channel on youtube called "az stuff" that shows how I make coffee with it. Since I can't link the channel directly, I'll simply mention the name. You will not be disappointed with this.I love this thing, like convert a town to worshipping fishmen kind of love. No other product ever wants you to use a 1/3 cup of coffee grinds for a single serving besides this thing, and I think that might be a shame.Did you ever hear people describe coffee as harsh and bitter and just a punch in the face and never tasted anything like that besides a literal spoonful of acid? Yeah, me too, weird. Anyway, it's strong, and I usually make it stronger. The flavors of all of those beans gets sucked out over 8-12 minutes, dependent of strength, and you taste EVERYTHING. Forget cupping if you want to learn the qualities of your coffee make it in one of these."It's, too, strong!" You say, a weenie. Alright, give it an additive. Coconut flavored coconut creamer? Wrong. You're ruining it, and I'm serious. The Vietnamese will use sweetened condensed milk and I do not lie to you when I say that to myself and my former barista, Washingtonian lover have tried many other ways to cut the flavor and nothing actually goes with these puddles of bean juice besides that sweetened condensed milk. If it must be creamed, try it, if your lactose intolerance won't let you then stay away from the product. This may sound negative, I know, but once you figure out that this thing is not a life giver left as a blessing to the children of some long lost precursors but instead the immutable means of our destruction by titanic reapers you will learn to look that death in the eyes and smile. As someone who consumes near poisonous levels of caffeine on a regular basis let me tell you that no single method feels as fast and deadly as a single cup of whatever this deliciously destructive ichor is.My girlfriend fears it, her family won't even utter its name, but like a college kid who found a leather clad woman to step on him I keep coming back! This is very simple to clean, very simple to use. There Are four pieces but nothing tiny that can get detached or lost. I ordered the large one and it sits well on my cup. I will say that, like many other reviewers have said, there are some slight issues. 1- the design is a bit lacking. There are two little rubber knobs to grab, but when you’ve poured hot water in, the whole thing heats up. I mean, obviously, it’s metal. It’s not the best design. And, the worst part, 2- the holes that filter, which there are three layers of, are too large for regular ground coffee. Yes, I absolutely read that in reviews. Unfortunately, with this pandemic I had slim pickings at the grocery store. I couldn’t grind any whole beans because that portion of the aisle is taped off. And I JUST got rid of my coffee bean grinder a year ago so I can’t repurchase. So I hoped for the best. It didn’t quite work out the way I’d hoped. So, what I did was order a metal reusable coffee filter and I’ll take out the insert and set my filter basket in. Hopefully that takes care of that.I surprised my hubby and immediately he was in the kitchen making his coffee. We were surprised to received our Vietnamese coffee filters individually wrapped tightly/neatly, and in a box that prevented them from moving and rattling around on top of one another. We had order a 4-filter set (smaller ones) from another source on Amazon, and they just threw all of the filters into a plastic bag, and shoved them into a mailing envelope. So nice to receive these ones packaged up nice. The filters work superbly. We will recommend our friends buying theirs from this seller.Works as expected for a phin filter. But I’m used to being able to tighten the filter screw with the end of a spoon like a screwdriver, without scalding my fingers. This one doesn’t have a slot, so I can’t tighten or loosen the filter as easily as with other models. Other than that, works great and is designed as expected.I would happily give this a 5 star review- but we were sent the coffee press without the press part! We only have the filtration and the directions indicate we are indeed missing a part. Great coffee otherwise! This thing is terribly inefficient, by the time the water has FINALLY FINISHED DRIPPING the once boiling water is now cold. This is probably my worst purchase yet, I should have known when I was washing it and even water wasn’t dripping through the little drain holes.
