LG Electronics 5989JA1002D Refrigerator Ice Maker Replacement Part - Compatible with Select LG Refrigerator Models - Perfect for Kitchen Appliance Repair & DIY Installation

Purchased this ice maker to replace broken on in Kenmore model # 795.51319.014. The fridge was working perfectly until recently it stopped producing ice. I tried to switch on the ice maker and it would not budge. I forced it some more then the switch broke.To install new one1) remove the ice tray and the ice maker shroud2) Unscrew a + white screw on the fridge's ceiling in the middle and to the front3) Slide out the old ice maker, then used a flat screw to undue the plug.4) Assemble the new ice maker5) Replace the new icemaker and put back the white screw.6) At the bottom of the icemaker, there is a square white button. Press it. You should see the ice tray rotated; once completed water should immediately dispensed. Wait for a few hours for new ice.This whole process should be less than 5 minutes. The product works as intended.
