These are beautiful! I've always preferred glass because, for some strange reason, I like to see what's happening to my tea. (I'm scientific like that, LOL.) So, I didn't like the idea of stainless steel for that reason. But when my borosilicate glass French press just cracked and water went every where the other week (first time ever) and I pit the price of the replacement beaker up next to will-never-break-in-a-lifetime stainless, it was an easy decision--especially given that this will be my second replacement beaker.These are beautiful, unbreakable, solid, and presumably healthy. Love them so much I've bought four already. You know, the way the world markets are going and all...I want to make sure I'll still have one of these beauts if everything around me collapses. (LOL...ever the enthusiast.)UPDATE, 3-17-25: I might add by now that it's probably not recommended to put this in the dishwasher...but I can't count the times that I have. Zero issues. I have also hand-washed many times as a preference (and, in fact, if you rinse it out immediately after use, it's a cinch). Bought four, gave one away, so I remain with three of these multicolored ones and am slapping my hands to keep myself from buying yet another one...just because. They are so beautiful and I just love them! I use at least two of them most every day to brew coffee and / or my herbal teas.I saw one reviewer complain that it didn't keep the coffee hot. Goodness, these are primarily to brew coffee/tea and then pour it immediately into another container. I don't think it's designed to keep your coffee hot all day or for any relative time beyond brewing. It certainly does the job for the 4 to 10 minutes that I've brewed coffees and teas. Never had an issue.
