This is a phenomenal tool. The blades are very sharp. I was hesitant to buy it, given the reviews, but if you watch a couple of videos (weaver leather has a good one), it works great and is very easy to use. I used high quality 5-6 oz tooling leather. Made some heavy duty boot laces. I imagine it would be hard to use on flimsy, thin leather. A good circular hole matters. Take care in cutting your initial holes before using the tool.
